Worship and Time Management
Although many inventions were first conceived as a way of providing us with more leisure time, our society is more rushed than ever. Part of the growth dynamic of being a Christian is learning time management skills. Sadly, some decide not taking time to worship God is good time management.
According to Alan Lakein, a renowned time management consultant, using our time efficiently is not as important as using our time effectively. Good time management means doing the important things first and then, if there is time left, the least important.
Failing to make time to worship God may make us efficient but it certainly will not make us effective. It is dangerous not to take time to worship God. In Romans 1:18-32 (please read), the Gentiles who failed to worship God became increasingly sinful: They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents’ (Romans 1:28-30).
Worshiping God is very important.
Use your time wisely; use it effectively. Take time to spend time worshiping God.
